Getting ready to do the 1st oil change tomorrow.  What is everyones choice when it comes to oil?  Motorcycle specific? or regular name brand automotive oil?  The automotive oil seams to be cheaper and I think will work just as well but ws wondering if motorcycle oil works better because of high rpms and air cooled?

Thanks

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Thanks.  I guess I should have done a search first.  Seems like everyone has their own favorite.  I guess I'll stick with my favorite Penzoil

Heh...  50 oil posts!

I just use the "Suzuki Motorcycle Oil."  It costs too much, but whatever...

I would love to see an updated version of one or both.

Let me offer one piece of advice. When you change out your oil filter, make sure you clean the mating surfaces of the engine and oil filter cover thoroughly. If you don't, you'll have an oil geiser like I did last weekend. It wasn't pretty. At all.
