Saw it on Craigslist, for $600, said " runs rough".
It didn't run at all, but it turned over, and fired. Brought it home, and cleaned the carbs ( what a mess) and rerouted the fuel lines.
It now runs, but really rough.
A couple of the lines were removed (Bowl vent lines) so i capped them off, and I am just unsure of the integrity of things, like the condition of the vacuum lines, the manifold rubber ( could be cracked) gaskets/o-rings in the carbs.
Other than that, it is in pretty good condition. It needs the front tank rubber ( where it attaches to the frame) and the rear bracket, and rubber grommets for the tank mount. Mirrors, and that pesky little plastic piece tha goes between the two tail pieces, above the tail light.
Here she is:

My garage is a mess, because we are repainting the bedrooms in the house. what a mess

I get blamed for EVERYTHING around here!
:woohoo:

Jazzzzz

that a '91 with the decals removed?  looks nice!  I'd do that to mine, but knowing me I'd get picky about it and wind up re-painting (which I'm doing this winter anyway)

Hey Ratz,
I used a 3" piece of 3/8 rubber hose split down it's length in place of the front rubber tank mount since I've lost mine. Works great & its cheap.

Paint looks nice. That's surprising, too. Around here, finding a GS in decent cosmetic condition was damn near impossible. Finding one in decent mechanical condition was about the same. Finding one meeting both criteria couldn't be done.

That being said: Congratulations! :thumb:
