Hey there,

I have a stock gs(scary stock) and i saw an ad for the above pipe, used but in good condition.

Would this be a welcome addition for my gs? Would i have to rejet it if i did weld it on...and more importantly how would i know exactly what sort of rejet is needed for the right balance?

Thanks again,
Peace

for just a slip on, no need to re-jet......i think anything would fit as long as you are good with a wealder and pipe expander :)

no i was actually thinking of cutting off the old pipe..and putting this one on.

I don't think its a slipon.

Any ideas?

i really doubt it would improve the performance on the bike.  i have a flange with a yoshi pipe on it and i wanted to see what a stock busa pipe would sound like, it was right near stock.  so i really dont think it would benefit you any.

I wasn't thinking performance wise..but soundwise.

With that in mind would it need a rejet?

yes, rejet to fatten up slightly.  2 1/2 turns onthe A/F mix screw?

if you want just sound, take the packing out of your stock exhaust can.

or instead of rejetting you could put a restrictor plate in it ( a piece of metal welded on the inside of the exhaust in order to restrict air flow

so i should just do a random rejet...there aren't any charts with anything precise?

Any ideas on what size?
Peace
