Zoom Zoom: Buttonwillow $84 on Oct 20th We had a great time out here at Buttonwillow yesterday! ('m currently posting sitting in a garage at BW -- the wireless internet here is working great). I wanted to let everyone know that we're going to have another event here at Buttonwillow on October 20th -- $84 for members of anothersite! (the list price is $99, using the discount code 'socal' on our website http://zoomzoomtrackdays.com to get the additional $15 discount. It's "kinda" a regular day for us. We're initially posting a 3 group format but if it's like yesterday we'll cut it back to 2 groups (like we did yesterday). Top quality instruction is available in all groups! The Novice School/C group alternates between in-classroom sessions and on-track sessions. The B and A groups have instructors available on request! The reason I say it's a "kinda" regular day is that we're also likely to be running an AFM New Racer School at this event, with many spots available. If you're interested in coming to the New Racer School (for $200) then just wait until Monday when we get it posted on the Zoom Zoom website. I'll look forward to seeing you all there! Chris.

pablo, question for you...

how many times do you go to the track a year?

what's your average cost per track day?

and which club do you ride with, if any?
My hunch was right...Pandy is the biggest Post Whore!

willrc51

allright pablo im in so ill be seeing you there on the 20th, i dont think danny wants to go tho so i might be coming by my self see ya then

pantablo

dan doesnt want to come?! wha...I'll see you there.

Jetblast- I am averaging 1/month. roughly $100 per trackday although the last 1 I did was a raffle win (so was free) AND on that day I won another free day that I'll use next year.

Buttonwillow, regardless of what club puts it on, ranges between $100-$130, same for streets. Big willow is usually $125+.

Oh, I'm doing The AMA course at California Speedway November 26th-that one set me back $250. unlikely I'll do that again since thats worth 2 days elsewhere. I felt I had to do it at least once.

At buttonwillow I usually run with takeit2thetrack.com (good guys). Willow springs big track and streets of willow springs I usually run with mtctrackdays.com but I have also run with sbrtrackdays.com. my favorite being MTC.

I'm always looking for deals on trackdays, since I do so many. With MTC, if you do one trackday with them during the year you are on the guest list for an intivation only $75 trackday in December. So I make sure to go to at least one. MTC is also the org that puts on the MSF courses in L.A. so its nice to see familiar faces. My second trackday with them was on my 2yr anniversary of having taken the MSF. My first being a month prior.

SBRtrackdays rents bikes. The company is actually Sport Bike Rental, which does rentals in socal. takeit2thetrack I just fell in with and like the guys there. They do $99 trackdays so it fits my budget.

Hey Will RC 51.  I happen to live in Visalia as well.  Are you the guy with the nice Black GS that I always see parked over off of Mooney.  If so, nice set of wheels, man!  If there are ever any group rides going on, please pm me, I'd love to show up and meet some more GS people.  I've got the red '92 with the '89 clip ons, and the chin fairing.  If I see you around I'll try and give ya' a wave.

ginoe,
you are to Pocono as I am to Buttonwillow. If you head out west Las vegas is supposed to be 'the shaZam!'-recently repaved and everyone raves about it. I've never been because its like 6+hrs for me and I dotn want to do an overnighter.

Then, second recommendation is Buttonwillow raceway, the track has both technical and relatively fast sections. better than streets, which is all technical. Streets is good but has rough pavement and is very tight. If you're going to willow springs you should make it a 2 day affair and hit streets AND the big track. Where streets has like 14 turns in 2.1 miles, big track has 9 in 3 miles and is super fast. I'm talking 150+mph front straight (on my 600), looong 100+mph sweeper, one 145mph (knee down) sweeper. its more a 'how big are your balls' track.

as I write this Its occured to me...FONTANA! California Speedway is probably one of the best tracks around. fast too, but more technical than big willow. brand new pavement and they run the AMA course for trackdays. this or pahrump (vegas) are the best, newest tracks around.

My absolute favorite is still Buttonwillow...which is why I've gone there monthly for as long as I can remember...
