I'll take the heat for that.  I'll take the heat.

I've been owned.

I did have help from IMDB to get the exact wording of the quote.

Ogg: Not spear, caveman.

The only thing I don't like about the Bugatti is that mouth off a carp looking grille in the middle of it's snout. Well, that and the price, and the gallons per mile.

The mileage isn't listed for the Bugatti, but someone on the web calculated an estimate @ "1.33 GALLONS or 5 LITERS of gas per MINUTE????"

As for toy projects, I'd like a Suzuki Samurai with a Busa engine, lifted, and maybe 10.5x31" tires. Wheeeeelie! :o

f%$k spending 1.2 million on a car. im with the guy who said he'd get a 240Z and stick an RB into it, throw in some racing suspension, build the motor a bit, sweeet.

Why not a Triumph TR7 with a small-block Chevy V8?
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

I prefer the looks of the TR6 better. My parents used to own one, but they sold it :(

Yeah, the TR7 is too '80s.  My dad has a TR3 he's welding back together (slowly) and a Spitfire 1500 daily driver.  Neat little cars.  When I drive the Spitfire, I can see over the top of the windshield better than I can see through to windshield.

Mr 7,
Last time I looked, 1.2 million won't get you a '62-'64 GTO. A nice 275 GTB maybe, but no GTO :(
It's not how fast you go, rather "how" you go fast!

I want one so badly

Mr 7,
Back in the late '60s, a series I Ferrari GTO could be purchased for around $10,000. A lot of money then. Back in the early '90s, the Feds confiscated an early GTO from a drug dealer(if memory serves me right). That car went to auction and I believe fetched over $14 million :o  Back in the mid-to-late '60s, old Porsches, Ferraris, Cobras could be had for a pitance. They were no longer competitive in premier racing venues, were not particularly good as road cars, and the vintage racing/collector mentality had yet to reach the point of causing old racing cars to become very valuable assets.
The Ferrari GTO ranks up there as one of the most beautiful cars ever built. And the sound it makes at full cry can make a grown man weep!

If I had $1.2M burning a hole in my pocket, I'd probably order one of these:

Goes much faster than the Bugatti.

Naw...

However...  A Napier Diesel CT18-42K "Deltic" will do the trick.

18 cylinders, 3 crankshafts, 36 pistons, 3,800 continuous BHP @ 1,500 RPM.  Now THAT is music.

For $14 mil I can buy four of 'em and build a 110' PT-F to house them.  Think McHales Navy - with 4 times the horsepower.   :?
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?
