Three words (and some numbers) for yamahonkawazuki:  Dodge Ram SRT -10
Don't knock the trucks, I had my ass taken in my S2000 by a supercharged Ram with just a Hemi, let alone the Viper's venerable V-10.
, i know about those. i almost bought an srt-10, but decided against it, was your s2000 stock, if so its a 4-banger. a potent one yes, but still a 4, you go up against the hemi, then throw on a supercharger, thats a combo, hell if you throw a supercharger on your s2000, that will fly. and aaron, what i referred to was your staTEMENT: "compete with either"

The MSRP is $55,000.  All things considered, it's really not that bad.

Especially if you think that "more money than an MV F4 1000 and a fully loaded Goldwing for something that can't compete with either" isn't bad.

The one thing I had in my corner was weight, I was about 1500lbs less than him, which is significant.  But there's no way I'd take a built up hemi, you're right.  I was reading about a CompTech kit (super) that puts roughly 300 hp to the wheels, the S2k would be deadly with that much juice, but not worth the $$ esp when you consider that any 2.0l engine putting 300hp to the wheels would last about 3 months.

In any case, I feel that anything over $15000 for a motorcycle is just ridiculous.  If you look at what you can get from BMW for that price, there's no justifying spending more, just look at the K1200R  :icon_twisted: that thing is MEAN looking...
