Not to undermine the work it took you to come up with this, but theres only $20 difference between the carbon fibre & fibreglass versions?  Sorry, but that doesn't seem right... I was looking forward to getting one too

The fibreglass unpainted I was making before was 160...so ten bucks extra for it to be painted isnt much. Thats Canadian dollars too keep in mind.

any chance of a plastic version soon? Would it be any cheaper? If not, when's the next CF production?

If making a 1000 plastic will be cheaper. Plastic is also harder to paint than Fiberglass or CF, harder to repair as well.

If it was only 1/3rd of the price in plastic (and black) I'd buy 3 instead. I was just curious as lots of bikes come with plastic huggers.

Please forgive the noobness of my question, but apart from aesthetics, what are these good for?  I guess I don't see the point, except maybe to also keep the inner fenderwell free from some sling-off from the tire.
