those look pretty ugly IMO....and are totally open in the back, i`d say those are more cosmetic than functional. Bad design, those would allow crud to be flung all over your suspension....which is the whole point of having a hugger...

Red Fox makes them for about $100 and Balu Racing is really inexpensive.  I still like his better.

And that, sir, is exactly why I prefer your rear hugger! Keeps my baby's bottoms all clean and shiny!

Still a smiling man seeing that hugger in my parts closet for this spring. It will not leave with the bike if/when I sell it, unless the bike goes to a board member. Otherwise it will be removed and sold back to forum or transfered to another GS.

Airbrush, in my experience from car forums if you need 6 to make it worth your while set another thread and take orders paid up front and when you hit 6 produce. State it in the thread and let the buyers know. I see that a lot on the supra forums, and goes over fine. Members Put the money where the mouth is and pay to reserve your hugger. I would have paid had addidas not been great and mentioned he had a "kinda" spare. :')

Well, tonight I talked with a custom painter so I guess I'm going to want 2 more for all the West Seattle GS500 Club bike builds.

airbrush

Yah, I thought about that as well, some kind of deposit on it, for exactly that reason.
From past experience of selling these I can tell you that alot of people 'say' they'll take one, but when it comes down to actually put their money where their mouth it....it's a different story. Which is why I won't be making any unless there is enough interest...I sat on the last batch I made for more than 2 years.

Well i'll probably go ahead with a small batch...but you're all going to have to be patient as my wife is expecting our 2nd child any day now, so my free time to get these done is going to be very limited (as it already is). I really don't have a time estimate right now, it could be a few months before they're done.

He he he....
It was spare at the time. Now with more builds in the plan, I'll need more again!
Seems my plans keep changing.... Husky Bike project, the EX500 ($400!) fix-up,.... who knows what tomorrow will have in store?

if it works on a 2000 GS500E, i'm in for it as well.

Anything that keeps it clean and fresh...back there.  :icon_lol:
2000 GS500E 8700 Miles. Dumped once. Lowered apparently. has 9400 miles as of 12/12

Believe me I was not here very long and realized the offer you made might have been the last time to get a hugger. I am in a rural area and its about a half mile to the nearest paved road.. believe me no matter how slow I would have went it would have made cleaning my bike a bear without that hugger. I dont mind a little dirt on my dual sports so much. Thanks again!

Now we know what "tomorrow" has in store. BrianRC will be fixing up Quin. So I better have extras on hand. I'm sure he will want one.

jdoorn14

As I said before, I'm definitely in for one even if it takes you a few months to get it made. How much do you want for a down payment? Like 20% or so?

Life comes first, though. Early congrats on the new addition to the family!
It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:
I am/am not trying to start an argument. This post is/is not intended to be a personal attack. I am/am not merely attempting to present a different viewpoint.

Select the words that apply to you.

Banzai

Jeff, if you can give me an idea of Postage to Sydney Australia I would be up for a hugger.
Wherever you may be, there you are.

Twisted

Why don't you use adidasguy as distributor. You make x amount. Adidasguy pays for them and takes them off your hands. He sells to the rest of GStwins. When that batch runs out he reorders. Just an idea.  :dunno_black:

Hey all,

So here's the deal...i'll be making a batch of 6 for now. As mentioned, it may take a few months to get these done.

If you want to reserve yours, you can pay for it now (no refunds, message me with your address and i'll give you the payment info), other wise it's first come first serve when they're done.

Once these 6 are gone, i'll do runs of 6, paid up front. So once there are six total, i'll make another run.

For pricing info check the beginning of the thread.

I'll keep a list of those paid in the thread.

thx

Material costs haven't changed, so its the same deal as before?

should a moderator make a new thread and drop this one or close it to avoid 11 pages of old info, etc?
