hey you look like as big a dork as I do on a bike...

Congrats on the bike and no...your next one will likely be a bit bigger (in multiple aspects).

pantablo

that is a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing your obvious joy. its a joy many of us felt our first day. You'll find yourself repeatedly going back to the parking lot just to sneak a peek at it, I'm sure. Congratulations!

ps-I have to say, Davipu did one hell of a paint job. Looks damn good.

..or go to sit on it just because...:dunno:...I still like to go sit on my bikes just to feel them under me and, since the full exhaust got put on the TL, I go fire it up just to hear her scream.  Happens with the EX, too.  Neighbors hate that, though...

Ditto the beautiful bike comment.

What are your plans for "additions" to her? ;)

Been out twice today. :)

No big plans right now.  RG did a good job of sorting out the usual stuff.  I've been thinking of reflective tape on the rims, but that's about it.  Maybe progressive springs eventually if I have a problem with the suspension.

Congrats man... the first rides are always the best. the ones in the rain... not so much.

i agree with the beatiful bike comment... i really like how clean it is... i only hope i can return mine to that condition.

my last rebuild project ended rather dissapointing (it was totalled the day i finished the last piece... by no fault of my own... and i was fully reimbersed for the bike)

Enjoy it and just try not to drop it again... (it really sucks when you look at it and find all your new "mistakes")

I also highly recommend the MSF Course... it saved my life the day my Honda was totalled.

Yay! I'm really glad you got your bike finally! I was talking to Dave before it got painted and he told me the color it was going to be. Needless to say, I laughed really hard when he told me it ways baby blue. I really wanted to see the look on your face when he revealed it's sky blueness to you.

Don't feel too bad about dropping your bike. I dropped my '92 the first time I pulled it out of the garage. I dropped the '04 the first day I had it too. The centerstand takes some getting used to.

Those case guards are pretty heavy duty, too. They'll hold up to a LOT more than dropping. I look forward to seeing your progress on this thing! :)

Heh.  Wasn't quite what I was expescting, but I guess that's the paint RG bought, and it's kinda growing on me.  It's my bike, and my bike will always be the prettiest. :)

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Good deal! Glad you got a bike and that you enjoy it! w00t.  :thumb:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Very nice.   :thumb:

I like Dave's paint job.  Definately sets it apart from 98% of the GS's out there.

Now just don't kill yourself on that blazingly fast road burner you have there.

Many, many, happy miles on "Blue Monday" to 'ya.   :)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Dave wasn't thinking.  I asked RG for blue, and she bought the paint and Dave applied it.  I was thinking more lke '97 blue, but I didn't specify, andy baby blue is a shade of blue. :)
