for that much money why not just get one made to fit the bike?

dgyver is making carbon fiber chin fairings made for the GS for like $75.

Make your own...what I've always done.

There you go!  Just make your own!  Great advice.

You'd have to PM dgyver.  I don't know if he planned on making any more.

If you're looking for something as simple as the jc varient, then it is great advice.  Home depot can have you make that in 30 minutes for $20.
(hard to tell context of text...)

If you absolutely must buy one, my GS had one of these:

I think mine was from a 500, though...not sure of the difference.  I've also seen a lot of SV chins bolted up.

That must be one of the nicest looking GS out there. Its a shame the wheels are white!

What can you use to make one from home depot?  I'm probably going to add one this summer.

Would you mind doing a how-to on that?

The hardest part is figuring out the look you want and getting a big enough chunk of styrofoam.  I'll be building one for a project I've got going now before long so I'll write it up then.

Typically, it's the easiest medium to use for such things.

AWESOME JIGGER!!!

Is that the exact same one from JCW? Did you have much trouble installing it? Any tips or advise you learned from installing yours?

Your bike looks good.. My wheels are white too. I am supposed to have them powder coated in a few weeks, the same color as the frame :)

i got it second hand with no mounting hardware.  what i ended up doing was ordering the mounting hardware from targa (they make their own air damn), which i got for about $12.  i bond-o'd the pre-drilled holes on the jc-whitney fairing and drilled new ones to mount it.  i'm not sure what kind of hardware it comes with so you might not have to go through all that.

i also trimmed some of the bottom / inside around the exhaust headers, otherwise it probably would have melted.  you'll probably want to do the same once you see how it lines up.
