Well there's the obvious, you want to get some sort of free'er flowing exhaust can on there, and a K&N air filter and jet kit to go with that. Then for appearance you should probably get smaller/tucked in turn signals, and chop that big ugly rear fender. Then maybe a different wind screen for the F model fairing. There's lots you can do, but you don't really need to worry about any specific order in witch to do them.

When you start getting into stuff like a big bore, then you have to start worrying about what order to do stuff in. I'm working on getting all my parts together for a 555cc big bore and there's a lot to consider. Like at what stage to paint the body work (when the bikes all apart) and then you figure while it's already all apart, you might as well throw on those new tires. Well while the wheels are already off, you might as well grind the swing arm and install a gsxr rear shock. While the fronts off, you might as well install those new for seals, springs and emulators.... and so on. This is the kind of project that planning really comes into play with.

So, basically get all three of those mods at once, cause it basically works as one...

well you can do only two,
say for intance a K&N and a jet kit
or an exhaust and a jet kit
or even just a jet kit.

What you can't do it just an exhaust or K&N without a jet kit.
bike will run crapy if you do.

You might as well do them all at once because if you just do two (say for example a K&N and a jet kit), when you get an exhaust eventually, you'll have to rejet again. so doing them all at once just makes sence.

what? I got K&N with the restrictor on it. Do I still have to rejet? Somebody told me that I don't have to rejet if I have the restrictor on it. ...
I still have the OEM can. Is my bike gonna run crappy?

No. With the restrictor you don't need to rejet. People who seek top-end performance from the engine use the Pod or Lunchbox filters. Takes away from the low end, though.

I would do all at once if you can swing the dough.

As mentioned, you can do only two if you like, the K&N+JetKit or Exhaust+JetKit.  For the K&N - if you're looking for a performance increase, you need to go with the lunchbox style, not the drop in with restrictor.  The drop in is a fine air cleaner but the lunchbox flows a bunch which gets you the power.

If you don't want to spring for an exhaust and the other parts, drill some holes in your stock can, buy the K&N and some 140 mains and you'll be sittin' pretty.

I would still do all three though - it'll take you about 3 hours and it will sound and run really well.

Any of the cosmetic stuff can be in any order...  Cut the fender, smaller signals, lower bars, etc, etc...  Or put a big ugly trunk on the back like mine.

But, yeah... Like they said, if you get a K&N and a new pipe without rejetting you'll be running REALLY REALLY lean. :nono:

Personally, I'd stick to the cosmetic stuff until any warranties were over.

I stockpiled parts and did everything during the winter... Plenty of time to plan, shop, ebay and mod...

you can do any thing to your bike with the warrenty on it . its if this mod you do causes it to mess up then its on you .. but i mean if you stick on a can and the camshaft just breaks .. then thats on suziki . and that gose for just about any thing you do . i work at the ford stealership so i know how some of theses warrnty companys work .. but be ready to fight them to the nitty gritty end if any thing dose go wrong :)
