Pics of GS-E exhaust on GS-F anyone - BEER FOR PICS

Does anyone have pictures of a GS500E exhaust on a GS500F?  Has anyone put an E exhaust on an F?

Please only comment if you have actually done this.  I've searched and searched (found the quote from Vance & Hines and all that) but not one picture of an E exhaust on an F.  I'm trying to determine if the E exhaust fits on the F.  I saw lots of "it should fit" or "my friend said it fits" comments but I want to hear from someone who has done it themselves.

Why do you want an E exhaust on an F? The E exhausts are so much uglier.

Also, it won't work. The exhaust from my '92 had the same problems that the Yoshimura had on my '04. The headers hit the oil cooler bolts on the oil pan on the bottom of the engine.

Will you still buy me beer?

Because I make and sell exhausts for the GS and most of the headers I get are off the E models.  Invariably I am asked "does this fit the F" and I don't have an answer.

I will buy you beer if you have pictures of a stock E exhaust on an F or if you have pictures of the interference showing why it won't fit.

Well that's half the equation...  Send some pictures of the header clearing everything (oil cooler bolts or whatever) and I'll send you some hooch.

I still need somebody to try it with the fairings on though...

The fairings wouldn't interfere with the headers. They aren't even close to being in the way

I'll go home today and put it on and take some pictures.

Alright, I lied. It worked. The oil pan bolts are in the center, and the Yoshimura brought the two pipes together at that point. This one has them seperated until halfway down the bike where they meet into one. If you need different pics I've got more on here. It DOES work though.





I need to put my new gas tank on...

But yeah, it'll work on an F. Hot damn.

Hahaha, yeah yeah. I need to put my new tank on anyways. I can't garage it so it sits outside day and night, which is why it's so dirty. I'd have to wash it every day to keep it as clean as I like. As for the exhaust I took pictures of, it's been kinda rusty for a while. I need to repaint it before I sell it.
