I believe that GSjack has deleted his account today.  One by one, the best of this forum are being picked off.  Perhaps Ticked Off is a better way to say it.

I've noticed a pattern forming.  Someone new comes along, posts replies that profess that a veteran is full of it.   A duel begins -- post & counter-post, and the newbe keeps at it , 'til the veteran becomes so annoyed that a knee-jerk reaction ensues.

We are diminished each time this happens. For sure, the newbe that pissed off the veteran provides a poor substitute.  Perhaps the veteran should have a tougher skin, but I don't blame them.  We're here for our own enjoyment and willingly helping each other with our experiences.  If it isn't fun, why stick around.

Jack, if you're still watching -- please come back.

You honestly did not get the sense that maybe this is referring to you OR fights that YOU either started or have been involved in??

Well considering he has been here thru Joerocker and shaZam!........ and most of these"fights" I dont start... and by all means NO ONE is holding a gun to his head making him read anything!!!!!!!

I know that no one is being forced to read, but that really makes no sense b/c you don't know that it's another fight until you read it.  I mean, nice threads turned into fights in the middle of people discussing things, or after someone threw in an offensive/stupid comment.  I'm not trying to start a fight with you b/c I do not want to contribute to that!  But I do just want to point out what fighting, in plain view of everyone here, does to the morale of the board...it makes good people leave.  I hope that from your last fight you were involved in, you learned to keep it to PM's if you feel that you need to always say something back to people, instead of ignoring them.  We all know this crap with you and Ed isn't ending anytime soon, so just think about this before ruining another nice thread.

The end.

Goodnight all.

It started here: http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=8012.msg246285#msg246285
But, now I can only conjecture as to how GSJack took this post (it's after his first post).  Either as an attack, or whatnot.  The damage has been done.  But, there is a lesson to be learned here, and that is to not be antagonistic!  We have a few here that are not overly blessed with public relations, I will not name anybody.  Do these people know that they are confrontational?  Some do.  But, do they do anything about it.  NOOOoooOoo!  I have personally been sickened and depressed about another thread.  And, Nobody left!  I found it depressing that I, as a moderator, had to read all 7 pages of drivel to figure out who and what happened, just to be fair [to everybody involved].  I had to simply tard it.  It's sickening [to me] that people just can't get over themselves, or others.  While this may be normal (people are people (Depeche Mode comes to mind...)) to/for some people, it is not commonly socially acceptable behavior.  The price of freedom is vigilance.  Watch what you say, or it will be regulated for you.  For those that can't control themselves, a control (restraint, ban, whatever) will eventually be found.  Ride your motorcycle like a nob, and guess what, the man is gonna shut you down.  Want to keep your motorcycle running, do the maintenance.  Now, I'm not gonna leave, but if we don't watch ourselves, we're going to loose other's with valuable knowledge.  I hope you care enough to keep this board as one of the freindliest, welcoming and Understanding boards on the net.  Think of what you post says to others.  Do the right thing.

Well Ed is a world class @$$hole and doesnt know how to pm back or I would address him thru such means.  And in no way am I the one who drove RG from the board....... hmmmmmm.....  I think that was Mak.  I will never ever let f%$k with me ever.  And as far as morale goes take a look around and all of the horrible shaZam! going on in the world and u complain about the morale on some forum, please keep going I want to laugh some more.

There we go, another completely useless and unnessessary post.

I regret posting this.  I don't regret the vent, just regret the reaction.  Maybe I (should I broaden to We?) also need a thicker skin and if a post goes from informative to annoying, just move on.  Our loss, and I'm not smiling about it.

In case this is a surprise to anyone, the other thread that set GSjack off was Right 15 tooth sprocket for the 2004 Gs500F.  Jack erased his replies, but I think you can get the gest from what's left.

Time to take my own advice...

i used to frequent the board  a lot, an will be a 1 year member in a month or so, but theres so much bullshit that goes on, i feel as tho i am wasting my time trying to sift thru all the crap when i haven't been on for several days.  i thought this site was about the gs500, but all i ever read is stupid crap, an soap opera material.  half the people on here have nothing to contribute motorcycle wise, an u people know who im talking about.  im gonna throw the blame on the people in charge for not "handeling" business.  who else do we have to run off b4 the shaZam! stops?

I'm with stupid. GSJack has been around since my lurking days, before I joined. I know whenever I have a question about tires, Jack is the one person whose posts I look for... I hope he comes back, along with RG, Kerry, and The Drunken One (who may or may not be back?)

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.
