I screwed around with the clutch adjustment screw on the case and lost my origional setting. Then I played with the clutch cable adjuster.

I thought I could just adjust it by screwing in until resistance, then backing off 1/2 to 1/2 but then it occured to me that the clutch cable might have something to do with it.

In what order do you adjust the screw, and the cable adjusters?

Do you start with the cable adjusters in half way or fully screwed in (loose)? Or does it matter?

Start with all of 'em loose (cable adjusters fully screwed in).  Start tightening at the bottom and work you way up.
