The TL cans are very constrictive...I "can" speak from expereince.

Fixed.

Alpha, I just turned it into a pun.  Nazi's HATED puns.  So I'm not sweating it either!

I'm actually looking for the new short 2006 gsx-r600 muffler. I want to replace my undertail one with that one.

But they are hard to find. I wonder how much they are new?

I have an R6 exhaust that I am putting on my GS. It is a bit heavier than the one i had on it, which wasnt stock. But it sounds good, well, it doesnt make any sound at all. It's nearly silent and I love it.

Slowe30

for some reason i've been wanting to chop up a stock exhaust header a little bit, find a smallish muffler, and try to fit most everything out of sight under the engine (pretty much no exhaust showing).  i think this would be cool, but my gs is an hour away at my parents place until it gets warm enough to ride regularly, so i can't really investigate the feasibility of this.  i'm sure the center stand would have to be removed at the very least...   i DO have a welder, and i know how to use it  :icon_twisted:

From what I understand, the little shorty thing that sticks out isn't actually the muffler. It's just a tip. The muffler is actually under the bike in an effort to centralize the weight.

Totally, but the problems are too many. That would be a tough mod. But it would go well with the '05 R6 taillight I'm about to try to install.

I'm talking about one of these.

Wouldn't be too difficult.

So something along the lins of the Ninja 650 exhaust? That would be bad to the bone marrow.

OK, first of all I'm not trying to win any awards for using GIMP here, so please no comments about how bad the edit is. I'm at work and don't have time to F around with it, so I just pasted the Ninja 650 exhaust where it may work on a GS and blacked out the stock exhaust. So again, I know it looks like shiat, I just wanted to give an idea of what it could look like:

Jim, does that bike have a GS swing arm or has it been swapped?  Is that a GS rear wheel?  I can't tell for sure.

That is a good location for the exhaust, but the 650R can would look better.

Again, I KNOW IT IS A BAD EDIT. I don't have time to make a clean one, so this is just to get an idea of how it would look:

wow, I was hoping that it would look nicer. Maybe the buell exhaust is the way to go for under the boady exhaust mod.

The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.

Jim,

You got a side-view of that bad boy. Something that would also look cool are dual mufflers under the body splitting horizontally to both sides so it doesn't blow on the tire. Like this buell exhaust..
