I was thinking about my favorite GS color, probably being 97 pearl deep blue, and I was wondering how many of them were out there because right now I can't think of any.  Then I was wondering how many of all the colors were represented on GStwin, hence this poll.  Sorry to those not in the US, but the poll is long enough without adding more color schemes in.  Color names from the GStwin info page and Suzuki for the F colors.

93 marble italian red. If I get bored next winter, its off with the pink stripes, respray of tank/plastics/fender/1/4 fairing, and powdercoating the wheels silver to match the frame. Then it'll be about perfect IMO. Great color, the 93 red.

I didn't know I could make a poll in general discussion with this new format, until just now.  If someone can move it, that'd be cool O0

I'm pretty sure Mr. 7 has one in the Pegasus blue.

What do I do? Mine has an '04 tail and an '05 tank... Gaaah!

I like the '04/'05 blue FAR better than the pegasus blue. I'm just talking the tank blue though, because the fairings don't have the metallic paint. If you get to see an '04/'05 blue tank up close you'll know what I mean. It's just a plain and simple beautiful deep metallic blue.

Hey Alpha - Can you post a pic of your bike?  I'm wondering how the white tail of the '04 would look on the '05.  I'm not sure why I wanna see this, cause I'm trying to find an '05 tail (blue) to replace my 04 (white) tail.

Alphafire is correct, My Bike:

Before I bought my bike I wanted a black GS because I thought it would look cooler, but I am so glad I got the blue. It's a beautiful color.

When I started looking for a GS500, that was the first one I saw, a blue 1997, and like you say, the color was beautiful.  Unfortunately that bike had a melted front fender that I was leary of and the dealer that had it wanted way to much.  But I've loved the color ever since then.

About a month later I found my bike in wonderful condition and even though it wasn't my favorite color I bought it.  The color has grown on me, but that blue still looks damn good to me

I'll see if I can get a close up of the '04/'05 blue so you can see the metallic in it. I'm a sucker for good metallic paint jobs.

Mine had a melted fender when I bought it but I have fixed it since then. I'll post some pictures whenever I get the time to go back into the barn with the camera  :thumb:

So Alfa, are the 04 and 05 blue tanks the same color, with the exception of the stripe?  I've never paid too much attention to the color of the F's I've seen at the dealerships, but I can see the metallic in your picture, looks awesome!

Looks good Mr. 7 and 97gs

That's how the one was that I looked at, couldn't see it in the pics, but I definately saw it up close.  Did you just replace the fender?  Did you find one of the same color or did you have to match the paint?

My next question is does anyone have the 91 green?  I know i've seen a picture of one or two, but you don't hear about it very often

My '89 GS (aka Procol Harem) is a "Whiter shade of Pale" (Pearl White). I imagine you "younginz" don't know what that's about. :dunno_white:

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are the same. I'll get comparison pictures of the two up sometime this week if I can.

No, I did it the cheap way, but it accually looks purdy darn good.

Okay, since the melted spot wasn't that big, I got some bondo and filled it (hey, I know it's not the right thing to do but I'm working with what I've got) then I taped up the front half of the fender so that the gourgous blue wouldn't get killed with primer. Next I threw some primer on the back half and then painted it with some spray paint that is pretty close to the color of the frame.
So now I have a one of a kind two-tone fender that looks like it's from the factory

sorry, no pictures...yet  8)
