Hi,

I would like to get a new set of sparkplugs.  Seems like there are two choices for OEM plugs:  DPR8 and X24E.  Could someone shed some light on what the difference is? (I suppose they are different heat ranges?)  Also, which kind comes stock?

Thanks

The X24E is the original Suzuki part.  It's about the same quality as the NGK unit you also posted above.

What modifications are done to your bike?  If none, then stick with OEM.  If you've done some serious stuff, run with a pair of DR8EIX NGK's.

Hi there,
My recommendation ... stay with NGK plugs, not the ND (Nippon Denso) plugs.
The DPR8EA-9 are NGK plugs, while the X24E are NDs.
I have found NGKs to never cause problems, while NDs were frowned upon at motorcycle dealerships where I have worked.
I've used NGKs in my Hondas, my Yamahas and my Suzukis in 30 years of riding motorcycles and they've never let me down.
Both have been used by Suzuki as OEM parts.
Good luck,

I see, so they're about for same use just but by different manufacturers.    I knew both were used as OEM parts by suzuki, just wasn't sure what the difference was as far as the specs.
