Trying to get some decent tires without going to a 150/60 rear for a '92 gs 500.

I was presented this as an option and wondered what you guys thought or if anyone has tried it.

207zr in 110/70/17
208sm in 140/70/17

Here's a link to an online store with more info: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/cartview.aspx?Item=1

they make a 208sm front but in 120/70/17, so I'm not sure if I'd want to go bigger on front or not.

Any advice would be helpful, I'm trying to get the wife's bike fixed up a little for her first trackday 4/1.

Well I'm still running the stock D208's on my SM, they are a sticky, aggressive street tire that feel good... but something to consider is that the SM tire is different because its a softer compound than a regular 208 to compensate for the lighter weight of SM bikes.  I wouldn't expect it to last too long on a GS.  They would probably be great for a trackday, however.
