Alright well it will apparantly be 7-10 business days to send it to him, then figure another 2 or so to get to me.  It'll be a long two weeks.

I would tell him to scan and email you a copy or fax a copy to you once he gets it.  And hold onto that bill of sale and any documentaion on your end that you might have from the purchase.  If you are getting the run around just take the bike back and get a refund and let him straighten it out, it shouldn't be your responsability to prove that you now own a bike that has someone elses' debt in it.  Then if he refuses don't ride it, get a court order to release the lein information on the bike you purchased and sue.

This is rediculous.  I don't trust the seller at all, so I went directly to the lienholder, which is Household Retail Services.  I have since then been given about 15000 different numbers to call, only to find that I have to fax them a copy of the title and a request for release.  I did that two days ago.  Today I called the DMV to see if they could do anything about it, and they gave me yet ANOTHER number for the lienholder, who I then called and went through all the hoops again.  They gave me a number to fax to, which I hope is the same one that I got a few days ago, otherwise who knows where my info is going.

What the hell kind of company has a title department with no phone number.  That's rediculous.  I'm just supposed to rely on a fax that may or may not be going to the right place?  I mean there has to be a phone SOMEWHERE in that department why the hell can't they just give me the damn number.

I've seen both of those, which is why I'm kind of worried.

Well.. somewhat good news.. two different customer service reps gave me the same number!  :icon_rolleyes:

So my info was faxed to that number two days ago.. and they said it takes 7-10 days  :bs: so maybe I'll be riding soon?

Jeez, this just goes on and on.

Hope it all gets sorted soon.
