Lower seat replacements

As somoene whos short of inseam.  The 31 inch seat height of my GS can get to be a bit much. 

Would you recommend getting a replacement seat with a lower cushion if one exists?
Doing something like this

Or lowering the suspension to make up the difference?

Cut the seat (or have it done) before you mess with the suspention...

Search for topics about seat height and cut seats...  An old member Roadstergal has a few threads about her cut seat.
