I haven't seen a post by him for ever!

He got in a pissing match with me over something stupid and I couldn't even bring myself to look at his response, so I didn't.  Then I come back from vacation and he is gone.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot fewer back handed complements going around.  Like, "That isn't a very nice bike, in my opinion, but I can see why somebody like you would like it. . ." etc. 

Just wondering if he had his swan song or not.

Yes!  As a matter of fact, I put it on RVertigo's shoulders!  Your misison, RVertigo, should you accept it, is to round up DP and RG and bring them back to the fold.  Tell them that the salad days are here again.

the reason RG and Mak clashed was because they were both never wrong, and you couldn't disagree with them EVER... there I said it... 

I liked them both, but like Jake D said, you must avoid the pissing matches.

Well, sometimes you must avoid pissing matches.  A pissing match is fine, but when the other pisser MUST have the last word, you have to decide if you really NEED to have the last word or if you can let them have it.  I let him have the last word and it may have run him off anyway.

I've been trying to stay out of the whole thing...  I don't know the details on why either of them left, and I don't really care to know.  I've seen silly message board wars escalate far beyond resonable human behavior, so I try to avoid them as much as possible.

I read some of there Post on that forum, its like they are plotting against us. I just join this site not to long ago in March but i have not seen any bad things against EX500 riders said since i been here. Except for the occasional "their bike is ugly" but are talking about how we think about poo when we are riding just outright stuff about us as riders and not statements about the bike. Its bananas but  to them. Im just going to make sure i watch my back out there on the rode. I did not know we where so hated.

And I think half of those are from me!     I can understand them getting offended, but I think most sport bikes are ugly...  And most cruisers are ugly...  And I'm kinda ugly too.   

I guess too much time around my wife has made me raise the bar on good lookin'.

Mak's a good guy. He is knowledgable and is actually a friendly guy. And I agree, the only reason RG and he clashed is because they are both dogmatic and have the "I am right" syndrome.

Hopefully he hasn't really "gone anywhere", just out riding, working, and enjoying life
