For those who don't know.  I'm not just an admin, I own this place.

You are not only the president, but also a member. Gotcha. And good luck with the hair thing  :icon_razz:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Just kidding.  The Littlest Ninja is a sweet ride.  Big ups to any man (AJ) man enough to rock the 500!  Even Annie has a ZX6R!
Actually, the littlest Ninja is the 250.  Looks like a fun ride, too.  Only 304 lbs.  It's a lot easier to feel like you're going fast on tiny bikes.

Borak: How come Ogg use one spear, Borak need three?
Ogg: Not spear, caveman.

Yup!  50 MPH on a H#nda 90 is REALLY DAMN FAST!

Pashnit did a write-up on the 250 about a year ago.  What he had to say even surprised me.
It doesn't matter what you ride; just ride the piss out of it, and enjoy every second.

also akin to the anti harley crowd or the anti triumph crowd or....

The problem about that is that Harleys do suck.  The 45 degree V-twin is inherently unbalanceable.  That's why the V-Rod has a 60 degree engine in it.  Porsche said they coudn't do anything with the 45. I don't care if it's in a Harley, Indian, Honda or Yamaha, it's a crappy design.  I about crapped my pants yesterday at my local Yamaha dealer when I saw a freaking 45 degree V-twin in one of their cruisers.  Salesman: it's a 1.9 liter.  Me: It's a fscking 45-degree V-twin!

I have nothing against cruisers.  If that's what you're going to do, then a cruiser is great.  It's just that engine design.  Give me 90 degrees any day.

You really should hold your breath until all the motorcycle manufacturers abandon 45 degree V-Twins. It would be a stunning brief protest that would put you out of your misery. :thumb:

its not the 45 degrees that make the harley engines suck or anyhting of thast nature. even if harley engines were 90 deg. other camps would still swear they suck . this argument will never end

Oh, I know it won't go away.  It "looks cool."  It doesn't matter to people who care about coolness that the basic engine design was done back in the 50's when the concept of second order harmonics being able to break things wasn't so clear.

Actually, that is fundamentally what makes them suck.  If they were 90 degree, then only the idiots would claim that unless they had other problems.

60 degree twins rule.

Rule what?  Harley's 45* twins?  Sure thing.  The VSRC and VR1000 are leaps and bounds superior to the 45.

90* is where it's at, though.
