Hello,
I need some help I don't know anything about photoshop.  My wife is getting my bike but she wants it repainted red.
Could someone repaint the picture I'll list so I may show it to my wife?
Black = Red
Silver = White
She likes the stock scheme just not the blue/ white I have.  If you have any other ideas put them up I'll show them to my wife also.
Thanks for the help
Dave

Nothing special, just a 5 minute job.

The grey is all I could think of.  Let me know what other color combos you wanna see.

Okay whoah. Whoah. Everyone slow down.

That looks good.

If only the lower part of the front fairing was red instead of white... and the stripe inside was something other than grey... I might have to try this...

Thanks Turd that looks great!  I wish I had your photo shop skills.  Could you leave everything like it is but maybe the grey strip in red and the rear cowling in white?
Thanks if you can.

Aren't forum names funny?  No one probably even noticed that you just called me Turd in a casual fasion.  If you said "Thanks Turd!" to my face, I'd probably forget that it was just my forum name and I'd have to choke a Buddha Loves You.  Just kidding, I'm not violent.

Anyways, yeah I was a graphic designer a while back.  It was pretty good money and helped me feed myself through college for a few years.

Alright, this one doesn't look so hot...because I got lazy.  But never-the-less...here she is.

You wouldn't happen to post on SVRider.com would you? There's someone that goes by the same name on there but you seem to be more helpful but less comedic.
Me fail english? That's unpossible!

Oh, I chopped the shovel on all of those too...enjoy a clean tail.

Nah, I only use this name here at GSTwins.  Thanks for the "helpful" comment.  I'll have to try to be more comedic and less useful around here then!

As I said BOSS500, I used to be (and still sort of am) a graphic designer.  All you have to do to be good at Photoshop is loose all of your friends, stay inside a lot and stop showering.  Those pictures above would actually have my fellow graphic designers pointing and laughing...as they aren't very good Photo-chops.  I just did them in 5 minutes.

Turd,  how exactly did you do that in photoshop? I got a copy from school, but never saw anything that would let me change colors like that.

Probably selected the areas he wanted and then did a color replace and then some hue/saturation adjustments.

I dunno exactly though, just guessing.

duplicate layer (just in case) - poly lasso tool - select all the areas you want to change color (unselect areas inside selection if needed) - new adjustment layer, change colors, etc - save for the web.

that way you can turn pics like this:

but of course, I had to use the quickmask and do some work to get the undefined borders to work (hair on top of head). with defined borders is a piece of cake.

Thanks for the samples my wife liked the red/ white with the white tail. . I'll show her the gsxr red tonight.  She's going to Korea next month so I wanted to get this set up before she leaves.  Do you think I should leave the front fender black?  And should I get the wheels powder coated red?  Or just leave them black and use the reflective rim tape?

I think the rim tape would look better.  Red rims might make it too bright, same thing with the fender, leave it black.
