It is going into the ownership of an aquaintance of mine that is a new rider.  I am supposed to drop it off tomorrow evening.  The first thing I will do is refer him to this messageboard :-)

here she is.  The only modification I made was the addition of a battery charger (currently not working cuz i lost the ground wire attachment)

If you have an '89 F-model, you did more mods than simply adding a battery charger.

Sad to see her go.. I would have loved to pick her up, since I'm in the area. Oh well.

Haha, I read the title of your thread and said "Dammit.... some newb doesn't know what an E or an F is..." Then I saw the author and realized what was up..

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Someone else did the E->F conversion.  Srinath, I think?

Borak: How come Ogg use one spear, Borak need three?
Ogg: Not spear, caveman.

That's Srinath's work right there, actually. That's the only E->F conversion. That bike used to belong to cheesy, who had the work done by Srinath. Then it got sold to TB, who is now selling it to someone else.

So yeah.

It was my plan to first offer the bike back to Cheesy and then to ofer it up here if he didn't want it...   but then this past winter a friend of mine asked my roommate and I about learning to ride.  When he found out that I was in the market for an upgrade he told me that he would buy it from me.... so the bike was sort-of-sold before it was on the market.

(Not that I was worried... it looks like a modern sportbike with that fairing at half the price of an '04... plus it has the clip-ons.

Its a catch-22 really... if the bike had had more power then I probably wouldn't have bothered to sell (cheap insurance, tires, maintenance)... but then that is the reason I picked it up in the first place.
