well, about an 45 minutes worth of effort, and I managed to relocated my turn signals.

Here is the best I can do for a "before and after"

if anyone wants, I can give you the directions, tools needed, and what steps to take, but its all pretty obvious.

only downside is, it leaves a big hole in the side of your rear fender (see picture below).... but then again, thats just one more reason to do a fender-ectomy

Right on. Chop that! Good gawd I forgot what a pre-ectomy behind looked like. Do the poor girl some good and do some surgery! Still like the relocation  :thumb:

The spot just below the plastic that indents in the side of the mudflap is where my signals went, they fit perfectly there. That's a good thing too, 'case that's the length of the mudflap now
No time to wash the bike

yea, thanks for the encouragement guys.

I'm really really really looking forward to next sunday when I can chop my fender down.  However, I'd also like to have my License Plate so I can work on placing that at the same time.

Ineed, this is where mine ended up too.  It brings the signals up so that the fender can be pretty much completely eliminated.

anyone have any favorite methods for doing this?

Anyone like the idea of a rear hugger post fender-ectomy

we picked it up on Sunday with only 78 miles on it.  Dude didn't even run a full tank through it.

Downside is that he never registered it in California when he moved here from New Hampshire... so now we have to wait for him to go register it, so he can legally sell it to us, so we can turn around register it ourselves.

I'm not quite sure I understand where you relocated the signals to.  Can you take another side pic?

absolutely.

I see what you mean about the actual location being confusing.  What I did was I used the Reflector Mounting Brackets, and did alitte chain drilling, followed by some dye grinding on the bracket and spacer.

It was a quick and easy way of cleaning up the back end.

Okay, I missed that in your first post.  Awesome!  I really like how you mounted those.

mmmmm 954RR mmmmmmmmmmmm .. sorry .. i started drooling .. my bad .. why go threw the trouble of relocating VRS. putting some flush mounts. next month i plan on putting some flush mounts on the rear. i know right where i want them ..and i like the front flushes alot so :) and there bright ! so you wont miss them

Turd Ferguson

I have yet to see a pair of aftermarket turn signals that is as visible as the stockers.  Ride behind nearly anyone that has swapped out their factory signals, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.  I'm not just talking about luminosity, as width is a HUGE factor.  Signals mounted directly on the bike just ARE NOT visible enough.  To each their own, but I want the piece of mind to know that it is hard to miss my turn signals.

well I know that I just swaped out my stock front signals for a set of cat eye ones and they are easily twice as bright. I was amazed how much brighter they were and I even though they're 1/4 of the size, I think they're way more visable. I had to shim them so they stick out an extra half inch each and now they're sitting at about 12" apart from center to center. I think the law says they must be 14".
