the blinkers will come with time.

Try and make a hbit of doing them as soon as you change gears after the corner. Soon it will become an automatic action.  :thumb:

Borak: How come Ogg use one spear, Borak need three?
Ogg: Not spear, caveman.

There are add-ons you can get to turn the blinkers off after a certain time...  But, IMO it's not a good idea.  Much better to feel stupid when you forget and try harder to remember.

Most of the time I try to turn my blinkers off a second time after I've already turned them off...  But, I still forget from time to time.

Regarding canceling the turn signal:

Habit, habit habit!

I have myself programmed to hit the turn signal cancel every time the bike comes upright.  Even if I've made a turn without signalling, I press it.  Sometimes, I press it after a sharp curve in the road!  :)  There's no harm, and the habit guarantees that I never leave it blinking under any circumstances.

I've gotten to the point where I just periodically depress the blinker switch now and then as I'm just riding down the road, even if I haven't taken a turn for miles. But I'm thinking it's better I'm that way than never using the things to begin with.

Check out the "SignalMaster" from Kisan.

In addition to cancelling the turn signal after a programable time, this can also give you 4-way flashers, "Escort Mode" flashers, running lights at various intensities, (if you want them), AND is supposed to work with LED blinkers without a problem.
