Last week i rode home a 1999 cbr600f4 for a friend of mine.. he has never had or let alone been on a bike before..  i of course encouraged him to start with something simple like a gs500 or at least something under 100hp lol.. anyways its hard to get people to listen when they decide what they want..  the bike is stretched 6" and lowered, crome dipped wheels, polished frame, jets, filter, exhaust.. the works.. so i rode it home for him about 225 miles..  i was happy to just get another friend on a bike (even though i begged him to get a smaller bike)..  good news is, the day after i brought it home, we took it to a parking lot.. he scared the hell out of himself.. and scared himself right into the registration for the MSF.. so the good news is that im not the only wise 20 year old out there lol (even though it took more than advice, at least he wised up before it was too late).. i mean i have riden for the past 14 years (since i was 6, working my way from 50cc to 70cc to 80cc to 100cc to 250cc, then to a street bike 500cc (gs500) to a 650cc (sv650))

Just letting you all know, that all hope is not lost.

That is good news.  :thumb:

Now, if your freind would keep that bike as a training tool for other's interested, if there was a way for everybody to try that beast...
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

The bike is stretched 6", and lowered.  So, it doesn't handle as good as it did stock, it doesn't corner at all. It is probably extremely loud.  Bad choice.
