Opinions Wanted on this bike:

2006 Honda Interceptor VFR800 ABS

Seriously considering it for my next bike.  I want something fast, like 150 mph fast.  I want to be able to go long distances sometimes, but not be on a goldwing-esque tourer.  I want to chase inline-4s through the mountains.  I want to split lanes in traffic. I want to hit the track, but maybe I'll just use the GS for that.

And single-side swingarm and dual undertail exhaust is OMG HAWT.
But this bikes got a funky v4 engine, and even funkier VTEC happenings.  Opinions?

Funky V-4 = Lotsa torque

Styling = Hot, but needs less (like none) fairing

ABS? For me yes, if front wheel lockup doesn't make you pee then skip it.

481lbs dry, kinda heavy. 99.1hp

Other bikes to consider.

Honda CB919 (Hornet) (My personal fav due to low weight and seat height) 427lbs 98.9hp
Suzuki Bandit 1200 (Kinda flabby, but big motor) 487lbs 110.5hp
Suzuki GSX 1400 (Can you say Torque BEAST?) 498lbs 104.6hp (91.5 ftlbs of TORQUE OMG)
Kawasaki Z1000 (HAWT) 437lbs 121hp
Yamaha V-Max (Funky, weird but omnipotently powerful, next years model will have 140hp) 580lbs (omg what a porker!) Hard to find hp but it is in the 110 to 115 range
Honda Blackbird 493lbs 164hp (hawt hawt hawt, my choice if I wanted a full fairing)

That all said I personally would be happy with any of these bikes. Except the porker V-max. To damn heavy.
Rich, RIP.
