My bar ends do nothing

My bar ends do nothing. I have been working on trying to stop my rear view mirrors vibration. I took one bar end off and tried it, then the other one off and tried it. If anything I think it is better with them both off. Regardless if I have the bar ends in place or not, from 4.5k to 5.5k rpm the mirrors are a complete blur from the vibration.
Has anyone else tested their bar ends?
Anyone have any experience with after market bar ends?

yea right around 5k rpms the bike whole bike vibrates like crazy for some reason. I feel it especially in my footpegs. 4k is fine and above 5k is pretty smooth as well. It's just right around 5k rpms which also us usually right around cruising speed.

Will McClard

You got it!
I was thinking that maybe a 14 tooth front sprocket would get me over the 5k cruising rpm. 60mph to about 75mph is the worst vibration.
A guy stopped by with a bandit 1200. He has trouble with mirror vibration too. He told me about bar snakes, but it looks like they help with the hand numbing vibrations. I don't have this problem, just the mirrors.

Srsly...  SV Mirrors don't vibe nearly as bad as stock GS mirrors...

And...  With a 15t sprocket, 5k in 6th is 55ish...

Maybe I have a 14 tooth front already.

Hipocracy.... becoming more acceptable with the more power you think you have.

I just went out and tesed my rpm vs mph.
In 5th gear at 5k I go 55mph
In 6th gear at 5k I go 64mph
I this normal?
Yes I was kidding.

Hmm, from what I know the mirrors on my friend's bikes vibrate too. Whenever we really want to see what's behind us on the freeway, we just bring in the clutch  8) <- that'll stop the vibration!

Sounds like a standard 16t to me...

Is there a gearing chart that tells speeds with different spocket sizes?

You should get mag-lev mirrors.   I just invented them in my mind.
The mirrors have rare-earth magnets glued to the back of them and hover in mid-air helid in place by a magnetic field generated by electro-magnets

Also, I just invented maglev shocks and stabilizers in my mind.  Holy crap I am smart.  I will make some for you for 20 million dollars
