It can be.  It depends on what you look to get out of it.  The Daytona 200 was one of the best races I've ever flagged (I was a cornerworker for the 2000 races, that was when the V&H team was running the gaudy fucha and yellow FZR600's; Dave Sadowski took first and Jamie James took third.  Thomas Stevens was a privateer that year and took second).
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

first bikefest in Daytona that I'm going to.  Went to Myrtle Beach last year for the Spring Rally.  Is it worth trailing the bikes there, 13-15 hrs drive from NJ?  I want to see the craziness, the crowds, etc.  Some say that it's just too crowded and it can be rowdy.
