Any ideas how one might go about that? I'm pretty convinced my oil warning bulb is dead. Otherwise there is a loose connection somewhere, but might as well see if anyone knows how much trouble it is to replace a dash bulb first...

it's pretty easy, just undo the 2 nuts that hold the gauge cluster to the top plate, flip over the gauge cluster, then you can just pull out the grey rubber light bulb sockets with the light bulb attatched.  Change the light bulb and push the socket back in.  You may be able to do it without taking the gauge cluster off, but IMO it is a lot easier just to take it off.

If the bulbs are too big to come out through the bottom (I had this problem with LED lights, but you probably won't) you have to take out 3 screws on the bottom of the gauge cluster as well as the 4 nuts that hold in the gauges, then take off the gauge cluster bezel to have access to the lights from the top.

I would recommend getting LED bulbs, they are SOOO much brighter and easier to see in day light.

Do they make easy direct swap LEDs for those spots? And will they cause any problems like with blinker bulb swaps? That'll be worth a look for sure...

The dash bulbs changed in '04, so if you have an '04 look for a different solution.
