Those shorty carbon fiber cans would look really cool on the Z1000, I think.

I think these look really awesome too:

Here are some that remind me of your shorty CF cans:

dude you're f%$king blind...the cans I'm using measure 10" X 4".  The WRX guy used one nearly twice the size and 3X the capacity.

Further...I have to make some money off these projects, but I assure you, I have a whole hell of a lot more money invested in each setup than $50.  shaZam!, I can't even buy the tubing for $50...

Alpha...I saw a Z in lubbock a couple days ago that had those carbon cans...a b;ack one...ut's was sexy...

If you wanna be technical...

The WRX can pic you posted is NOT THE F*CKING SAME CAN!!!

You can tell by the chrome "end" that meets the CF body of the can.....

Don't you know different manufacturers made products that LOOK THE SAME????

Mak are you still thinking that it willl be $120 (aprox) more for a stainless steel version?

Simba...the tubing for a full high mount would be up there, but the standard setup would be a bit less...right now I'm trying to find a good bidder for stainless tubing, though.  I'll be sure to let you know if I can a good price locked up.

I may be a noob, but at least I don't attack others based on assumptions alone...

I also don't ruin potentially good threads either.

I'm not participating in attempted conversation with a monkey any more.

The dual setup looks shweet.  Mak--if you could put a dual setup on a GS regardless of whatever MF can you use then you deserve props.

I would have to see what the hi mount would looks like, but I would most likey be getting a standard mount.

Umm, dude. Are you completely missing the fact that your coveted V&H exhaust fits 7 different bikes?

Where's the testing you've done that proves that the Vance and hines pipe..which is made of mild steel, inside and out, and packed with composite material...is better than my pipe.

Mine is made entirely of stainless (inside, tips, packing, rivets, bands, clamps) and carbon fiber (shell).

scottpA_GS

you are soo right..

I am sure your pipe is far supirior to the V&H or jardine systems  :thumb:

And at a steal of $278 for a $26 can.. SHIPPING INCLUDED!  what a deal  :thumb:

...someone please just farm this...

CirclesCenter

Beautiful, I'm not only pinching my pennies, I'm giving them merciless purple nurples to get that high mount.

As to the bastards dissing on this, if you don't like it buy something else and get LESS GROUND CLEARANCE. So STFU.   :2guns:  :cookoo:

Go fabricate your own. Hahahahahhaahahhahaa... Please do, really, I want to see how far high-school metal shop will take you guys AHAHAHHAHAHA!!!!!!

Anyways Mak, don't worry, people always want to bring everyone down to their level, don't trip.  8)

I Love the ground clearance on you systems. What about that little under the bike jobbie? Still doing that one? It really made me hot.  :o

And they're all going to be carbon fiber wrapped? I'm not sure how I feel about that, but hey, at first I didn't like bikes at all, now I'm in love, so take with the obligatory salt.

So with rider I'll ground the can first (after I get new pegs) or will i lose the tire?
Rich, RIP.

scott noone is telling you to buy the can.
Mak is the one putting all the effort in here to put the whole exhaust system together and make it available to us. If you've got that big a problem with the price... dont buy it.

why dont you go complain to Nikko for selling GS systems that start at $900?

there is no point in hijacking the thread to try to steer away his potential buyers. that's just an @$$hole move.
dont get into the techicalities of something you really dont understand; other than buying a V&H full system that reads "super sport" and is thought to be unique to the GS.

It's not. I'm sorry you were mislead by V&H, but stop trying to change peoples' minds and let Mak do his thing.

In my opinion, what Mak is offering is much better than the V&H system. the great thing is that Mak's system is an interesting alternative to the boring V&H system; offered at a very fair price. If you dont like the price; go get your $30 can and $15 pipe and make your own.

oooh almost forgot:
Mak, any idea how the weight of the 2-1 highmount (carbon wrapped can) system will compare to the stocker? no need to be exact; it's just that the stock system is friggin HEAVY. if your's is even a little bit lighter I'll wet myself some...

nick_villan

have to see it on a gs before i bought it
