Fork Spacers

Has anyone ever heard of doing this and would it help with stop the forks botteming out when setting down a wheelie

Yes, but if you're doing wheelies you really need to upgrade the suspension. I weigh 130 and could bottom out the stock forks just by pushing down on them or going into a steep driveway.

Also, practice setting the wheel down from a wheelie smoother. Use smoother throttle inputs and don't just let it drop. Try and set it down as if you were trying to set a paperweight on a sheet of tissue paper. I realize that is difficult, but it's all about smooth throttle control.

Just get some new front springs.

my problem is when i set them down in 3rd gear no matter what i do it bottems out. Im even on the back pegs so i guess your right i need to upgrade the forks.

3rd gear? You must have a huge fuggin' sprocket on the back. With a 14T front mine only comes up in third with WOT and a hard shift into it... unless you're riding it into third, in which case yeah. Expect engine damage from oil starvation if you do that regularly.

As for being on the back pegs. That is bad. Very bad. You have no control if you need it, nor do you have the ability to get back onto the seat and set the bike down if needed.

I also assume you're doing these wheelies with full gear on a closed course or in a parking lot, of course.

yeah my front is 14t and rear is 48t. I dont have both feet on the rear pegs ive got my right foot on the brake.
