AM I the only idiot who ran into a fast food joint for takeout and ordered a combo with a drink?
If I am that sucks cause I did it like 5 times.

When I use a tailbag, I can snuggle a softdrink or coffee in there amongst the junk, and I've done that successfully. But I've never ordered a combo when all I have to carry the drink is my hand!  :kiss3:

Couldn't you just eat and/or drink whatever you bought in the restaurant/fast food place? Seems like it'd be a huge hassle to not spill, especially when leaned over.

You obviously don't understand caffeine addiction, do ya'? :P ;)

thanks pandy  :thumb: :thumb:

Well I'm not saying don't get coffee.. just drink it where you bought it.  Or just make it at home and thermos it in a tankbag/backpack/cargo net.

I've got places to go! Things to do! People to see! I can't be chained to a coffee house for long, agonizing minutes!  :bs:   :icon_mrgreen:

Drinking and riding is a bad idea.  alcohol or not.

to carry a drink is fine. but trying to slurp a latte while on the bike is just stupid.

(although when your riding one handed with a drink in your hand, the straw does fit under your helmet just right)

Laugh if you must, it's a problem for us addicts.

Typical work day in the car, I get a 20 oz Starbucks Latte on the way in, drink at my desk. Later in the day I might go get another, 10-15 minutes, tops.

On the bike, I have to find a Starbucks that's not too crowded, sit down and drink it there. About a half hour of time lost, making me a lot later to work. Later in the day, same thing, lots of time blown.

More than once I've gotten in line at Starbucks, and when I've gotten my drink, all the seats are taken. Then I'm standing with this big paper mug in one hand, I can't leave and I can't sit down. I've learned if it's too crowded, and I'm on the bike, not to even try.

None of the thermos bottles they sell there are even big enough for a single 20 oz latte. They're almost all a half-liter... call it 16 oz.

Even if I take a larger thermos bottle in, order my latte and decant it into the thermos, it won't fit in my tank bag. I'll have to either wear a pack just for that, or attach more luggage.

Seems trivial, but it's stuff like this that keeps bikes recreational machines, and keeps people buying cars even if they ride.

Dam Starbucks, I'm glad someone make great coffee drinks which they do, but my friends and I were just talking the other day about how much money we probably spend on Starbucks Products each year. I average in at about $1092.00 (about 3 venti iced mocha's & 3 frapps from convenience stores a week = about $21.00)

I bet it is.  I wonder if they would write the citation for being a dumbass? or probably just reckless driving.

back then I worked down the street from Mickey D's. I had to get through one stoplight though. Thats usually where the drink would spill cause I was trying to shift her into neutral without the clutch. sometimes it worked but if the timing is off the bike would buck violently.
