Yeah so I left Blacksburg at 5:00 PM Thursday and met with my friend where we combined our travel stuff and climbed into his pickup and began our voyage to pick up him shiny new Daytona 675.  Why, becuase it wouldn't get here untill mid August if he waited for the freight driver for the dealership that could get him the one that he wanted.  So off we went.

Virginia - Same old stuff i see all the time, after all I live here.

West Virginia - Some nice sweeping interstate highways, tolls suck, and man I didn't think anyone could live in that shack.

Ohio - CONSTRUCTION EVERYWHERE!!!!  Man why can't they freaking finish anything,  I swear the highways in that state have been under construction since i was born.  Lost time, got some sleep, and ate again.

Indiana, Illinois, Iowa - Man i hope you like corn, cause that is all that is here if you ignore a couple cities.  Crossed the Mississippi for the first time ever.  Got a little missplaced in IL, but found our way after a lot more corn field sitings and a crop circle.  finally picked up the bike and started on hour journey back after it was loaded into the back of the truck.

Iowa, Illinois, Indiana - Corn, man just looking at all that corn is going to give me the runs for a month

Ohio - DETOUR --> Friend passed out hard core and i was like SWEET, I am going to miss all that dang constucrtion cause i am making my own way home.  Cut a good hour off the trip and only had to slow for one construction site, awesome :thumb:  Also realized that sleeping in a pickup isn't really sleeping, THANK YOU RED BULL!!!!!!

West Virginia -  more red bull, more tolls, more strip clubs, and yes more WTF is that a shed -->nope thats jimbo's house.

Virginia - never thought i would be so freaking glad to see VA again.  Got back to my car, drove home still very awake mind you (thanks red bull and sobe) and talked to my fiance for a little bit then WHAM - out like a light.

Arrival time at front door 10:45AM Saturday and covered a little less than 2600 miles total.  It was a great trip and i did get to see a lot of new land and way to freaking much corn.  And now i want a new bike, but first i am getting a truck so that i can haul my bike around.  Oh and I still have a kink in my neck from sleeping in the truck on my non-driving shifts.  Ahh the things you do to help out a friend
