Oil Filter same from E's and F's?

I have all the stuff to do an oil change on my 98 GS500e, was going to use it to change the oil on my buddy's 2004 GS500F, will the filter and all work on his?  Don't wanna pull everything appart to find out the filter won't fit or something.
