Pire stock air filter with slip on.  . . you will need smaller jets.  And if you look at the stock air filter box it is very restrictive compared to the K & N pod filter.

Yeah, well, I was just trying to avoid using a K&N if possible because you might as well not even have a filter at that point. Have you ever tried a rejet like this WITH the stock filter? I'm just curious to know exactly what symptoms you've experienced with a new exhaust and bigger jets with the stock filter. I know the K&N filter is the popular thing to do but I've just never heard of what happens with the stock filter from someone with first hand experience.

I'll let you know monday the differences as the shop Im getting mine dynoed is doing a run without and with the K&N filter, where not going to worry about dyno jet kits or such as he is just going to drill out the old ones which saves a bit on having to buy new jets at about $12Aus each I'll ask what he went out to but probably wont be much help to the overseas crowds only the Aust riders but it may give you a guide to work from.
I'm pretty confident he'll do a good job they have just had about five GS's go through the shop for a dyno tune and all turned out well told me about one who had ceramic coating put on his standard headers and got about 2-3hp increase alone because it ran much cooler through the header he also does work for quite a few high range racers in the formula extreme series here which is made up of FZ1's, Bandits, z1000's those type of bikes so I let you all know monday weather permitting how it turns out I'll also try to post a film with sound on it but the weather report is not promising. :thumb:

No flat spots or loss of bottom end your lucky when I put mine you could ride it but it wasn't happy about it but with the dyno and rejet and filter it now pulls harder then a 14 year old  :thumb:
