The wiki has been under attack, and this is how to fix it if anyone wants to delete some spam.

1.
Go to the Wiki - "recent changes" page to see what has recently been spammed.
http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Site/AllRecentChanges

2.
For example, one of the recent spam atrocities:
Troubleshooting.NeutralLight . . . January 11, 2009, at 03:32 PM by TestName: JzUIywTvQGf

click the text "Troubleshooting.NeutralLight" that is a link to that page.

3.
Then , on the top of the Troubleshooting.NeutralLight page, click the "History" tab.

4.
Then, scroll all the way down to the very bottom of the page.  That is the last time there was any real content that was not spam.  It reads:

Restore

Hit the next to last "Restore."  This will take you to an Edit page, but it will have already filled in all the restored text.

If you hit the very last "Restore", you will restore it to the nothing that it was before Sanjay created it.  If you hit the second to last restore, that restores it from the 2008 edit to the 2006 original.

5.
Now we are on this edit page.  Immediately below the edit box, you type the "Summary:" of your edit, "stoopid spam" or something.

6.
below "Summary:" is "Author:".  This is you.  You type in your name or your ID or your CB handle or whatever, and then whenever anyone looks at these edits, they will see that it was YOU who saved the day.

7.
Click "Save"

8.
Collect the admiration of your peers, the lust of the women, the bacon off the top of the meat loaf.  Huzzah!  The day is yours!

Hi, Sanjay:

Thanks for the good work.  I just wanted to throw-in some info about mileage.  My 1994 GS 500 E is averaging 60-62 mpg in suburban commuting and "blow the stink off" hour-long rides.  (Cobra F-1r muffler on stock headers with K&N filter in stock airbox) I would consider my riding style as "riding normally".  I don't always baby it but I don't beat it either. I do like being in one piece and want to stay that way.  I took it on a camping trip last summer and tried to wring every ounce of mileage out of it and got 67.  I would say folks who are getting 50 or less are revving the hell out of it, as I frequently take it up to 9,000 when no one's around, that pipe screams.  I think you should throw-in a comment about the GS 500's reputation as having an almost bullet-proof engine and gearbox.  That's half the reason I bought it!  It is pretty flat in the 5000-6000 rpm range which sent me on a search for better exhaust systems.

Your exhaust page is excellent.  I made a few edits there as I just went shopping for one.  I found out that some things have changed as to price and availability since you wrote it so I made edits to reflect that.  I promise you my changes are accurate as of last week.

However, if it is being hosted via PmWiki (http://www.pmwiki.org/) then we will have similar trouble keeping out the bad guys.  I'd highly recommend that we migrate to MediaWiki (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki), although from my understanding the server does not have PHP 5 installed (yet?).
