will be taking the motorcylce permit written test today....what should i expect?  will it be more motorcycle related or more general?  btw, this in NJ

If you read the handbook and paid attention you will pass.  The written test is a joke.  Maybe had 1 or 2 trick questions but thats about it.
Pilot 22.5, Mid 65 , Mains 147.5, Mixture screw 3.5 turns out

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

dunno if its the same in NJ but in CA there is a specific written test for the motorcycle endorsement, but they also hit you with taking 1/2 the written test for driving as well, since they're essentially renewing your license. Read up the regular drivers handbook just in case.

failed the vision test  :o

I passed my written test today, then my skills test, then rode home. Its a good thing I got the license because otherwise I would have been riding home without one.

well, got my eyes checked out.  i need to wear glasses when i drive/ride now.  oh well, it was bound to happen sometime.

at least now i have my permit.

well, the msf course came and went.  learned how to ride a bike, but not well enough to pass the evaluation :(  i put my foot down a couple times in the "s" turn and didn't stop fast enough from 2nd gear.  my permit is still valid, but w/o a bike to practice on, i doubt i'll get my license.....at least not this season.

i took the msf course to learn how to ride safely and properly, so i got at least that much.  at least now i can say i know how to ride.
