Do you use it every day/night, only when it rains, or only when you store the GS?

Mandres

I got mine at Wal-Mart, $20.  It's held up well for the last 6 months through all kinds of weather.  It's not really a high-quality unit; the materials feel cheap and it's pretty ugly, but it does the job.

I dry rotted in less than 3 months from sun exposure.

We can only hope that this wasn't a spelling error.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

And in a shocking turn of events, I'm going to second what Nick said. Walmart, $20, and it works.

I think we got ours at Wally World for about $20, too.

My bike is covered every day at work, from 7:00AM - 5:00PM, rain or shine. I've had it for almost a year now, and it shows no wear at all.  :thumb:

NO TO THE WAL-MART COVER, Tad you and me live were the sun as a UV index of like 10+ usually everyday. And its funny that you've just posted this because my cheap Wal-mart bike cover just ripped yesterday on the top were its all sun faded, and starting to dry rot. I got mine in November and use it everyday mainly to keep the little kiddies off and clean. I'm going to try and find a new one made of a marine grade canvas if possible, or at least try to stay away from nylon.

PS that white liner that was inside the cover had deteriorated after one month and left little white fibers all over my bike that seem to have a magnetic charge to them, and were a pain in the butt to clean off every time I took the cover off for like two weeks until the liner was just totally gone. ( piece-o-shot)

Haven't had a chance to read it yet but it looks informative.

when I parked my bike outside, then in a friends garage I used this one: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item.aspx?style=441&department=657&division=6

kicks ass. costly but it is made to last. This is the one item that was stolen when they tried to get my bike...Now the bike lives indoors and is covered by a dust cover: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/item.aspx?style=449&department=657&division=6
(not good for outdoors.

I wouldnt trust those $20 covers to keep the dew off the bike and vent the condensation properly.

Thanks for the great link Pantablo, I kind of like the Dowco Guarrdian Secure, looks like the same construction but has 130 dba alarm built in and a Life Time Warranty( which is considered 7-years in FL on manufactured products ) and its 1/2 off = 59.99 + S&H  SWEET
