04-05 gs500f mods

Hey everybody, i am new to bikes and am purchasing an 04 or 05 GS500f very soon, and i wanted to see what modifications actually improved the bike stats overall. My plan is to buy a yoshimura exhaust system as well as rejet the carbs.  I was hoping people would be able to tell me how much an improvement in hp, torque, accel, top speed, and if anyone knows how much it helps w/ 1/4 mile time.

The Yoshimura full systems won't work on the F model. Trust me. I tried.

Gearing is going to make the biggest difference overall.

Also, I noticed that you posted this in two different sections (General and O&E). Please refrain from cross-posting as it is both annoying and won't generate as much concentrated response. This helps when someone is trying to search for information as it isn't spread out over two different threads, both by the same person.

All GS500 related discussion goes in General. Pretty much everything else goes in O&E.
