I have you all beat in the stupidity crowd on this one.

I asked out a co-worker. We dated (not exclusively, mind you). While she and I were dating and whatnot I asked out another co-worker. She and I dated (not exclisively, mind you).

Dating two co-workers at the same time is stupid.

Turns out, these two girls ended up having a lot in common and became best friends.

Dating two girls who are best friends is really stupid.

Dating two co-workers who are also best friends is pretty f%$king stupid.

Damn I'm stupid.

Unless the two co-workers really liked each other and both wanted to be with you at the same time  :thumb:
( dumb response but it's 4:30 am and I'm really tired )

Wait till she either gets fired or quits then ask her out.  Dateing co workers is bad. . . can get very bad.
I thought you worked for your family's buisness renting room's?.  .. and if co-worker is also a family member thats really bad

Depends on if you're ok with losing your job.

I dated a girl at work 20 years ago.   I made it clear from the start that it was not a long-term relationship, and went out of my way to make sure she knew that I had NO intentions regarding marriage, etc.

Well, the whole time we were going out, SHE was telling everyone at work and all of her friends that we were IN LOVE and that I was telling her that I wanted to get married, blah blah blah.  :cookoo:

After about 6 months, when I broke it off (she was getting VERY clingy), people at work and friends of hers that I had never met were telling me I was a piece of shiat, "How could you do that to her?" and crap like that.     Even years later, friends of hers were telling me how wrong I was "to treat her like that."   (BTW, we had sex MAYBE 4 times in 6 months, so it's not like I was keeping her around for banging purposes).

There was ONE person at work who knew what the situation was, and knew I was HONEST with the girl from the start.   She was crying to him one morning about me, and he said to her, "Look, HE didn't use you, YOU USED YOURSELF.   Get over it!"

That experience left a mark on me.   I NEVER date at work.   NEVER.

On those days when life is a little too much and nothing seems to be going right, I pause for a moment to ponder the wise last words of my grandfather:  "I wonder where the mother bear is?"

I dated the girl who sat in the cube ahead of me for about 3 months.  Didn't work out then, but a year later we started dating again and kept it a secret - noone at work knew.  Was really cool when we came back from the Bahamas a year after that and surpised everyone 'cause we were engaged :)  Got married this June, still work together (different departments now) and couldn't be happier.

I dated a chick I worked with. Actually, I was her supervisor. Looking back on it, I was pretty lucky because if it had ended bad, that could have been real bad. Of course, it was just a college job, so I probably woulda gone for it anyways. I wouldn't do it now that I've got a job I actually care about. Basically, I would say go for it if you don't care about the job.
There are only 10 types of people in this world - those who understand binary and those who don't

MrDan

And you work with them, not for or in charge of them.

I've dated girls I've worked with and I've... ummm... well... yeah... girls I've worked with...  Never turned out well, NEVER.  One of two things happened everytime
1) you'll wind up getting sick of and hating each other making work suck
2) you'll wind up loving each other and your co-workers will get upset/jealous for whatever f'ing reason and spread false rumors about you two getting it on at work and what not and you'll never get a promotion making work suck
