Still can't get to the full-size version. Might want to try photobucket.com, no hassles, just works.

Those would look really good with Sylvania SilverStar bulbs in them- instead of an orange spot, it casts a mix of light blue and yellow reflections, mostly blue, looks sort of iridescent, only turning yellow when they light up.

i made them fit, got them off ebay. 70$
take  the old ones off the base.
then drill the base rivet off the new ones
now grind the side down a little so that it slides in and can ajust some.

next, remove the mirrior from the bar (as a hole).
now grind down the lip that mirror fits and mounts into so that the mirror can be twisted and fited

after runing the wire, and makeing the bar tight in the mount, hold the mirrior up and then mark were it looks and works best. this is hard and best done with two persons

now use the JB stick weld, mix a little not a lot, and spread around the bar. be sure the wires have some slack so you can plug them back up,

put the mirrior section onto the bar and hold for about 5 mins, so the JB weld sets up, be sure to have it in the right spot or the mirriors will not show any thing
(dont ask, but lets say, if you mess up it easy to fix, brakeing it off, and doing it again thuse dont use a lot of JB weld)

now wire it up and check it be sure you can see and zoom zoom down the hwy...

draw backs, the mirror is a little less usefull, (my fault mostly) it's clean but could have been better.
i can see direcly behind me in the left one, and about 5-10 feet to my right on the other.

imy plan is to get com convex mirriors to help with blind spots.

over all its much cleaner other than the large holes in the fairing now. i guess when i have it repainted it will fix that. also there alum and carbom fiber about one pound lighter (each) than stock so thats a +

They look gixxer'ish. Very cool. Would be even better if you could buy more and adapt them into a bolt on set. Except for running the wires. Then you mite make abit of money selling them on here. Loads of people want to get rid of their turn signals and what better way to do it :)

I have spotted them things at my local stealer.
Yea but ebay the mofo ... I aint buying that crap and shipping to anyone ... I eman, I do have a reputation to protect y'know. Buying jets at the stealer is one thing ... but I start buying pretty ass goodies and god knows what sorts of rumours will get created.
Cool.

So you had to take the mirror section off and JB weld it back on. Is this because you couldn't adjust the mirror enough? Are the mirrors adjustable at all now that they are glued on? Did you have to drill a hole in the fairing to run wires through? I had the same idea of putting the gsxr mirrors with integrated lights and I'm just wondering how hard it will be? Thanks.

rangerbrown

yes a small hole for the wires, and its hidden in the mirror mount.

the stock mirror base (that screws into the bike) stays

remove the hex head nut that hold the stock bar on.

next, the new mirror
unscrew and remove the light fixture
now remove the screw and the bolt that hold the mirror housing to the bar it mounted to.

grind and grill time...
one the new mirrors (at the mount end), drill the mount out so the bar looks like the stock one. (there is a cover that needs to be removed, thats the side you want to drill on, and grind on)
now that the mount is out, (the bar mounts up side down right and left)
grind down the lips that keep it form fiting and hindging back when the bar is mounted. (do a little at a time)

next, the mirror side.
grind down the lip that the mirror screwed into, do this so the mirror housing sits flat on to the bar. (this is the only way to get it work, or at least look good) mark it so you can put it back.

so,
with the bar mounted, mix up some plastic weld (or what ever). line up the marks you made and push the mirrior
housing onto the bar. hold in place for a while so it sets up and bam.

next plug the wires back up to the light and reinstall the light into the mirror houseing.
and now just run the other end of the wires into the harnness and then test it.

if you mess up, its easly to fixe the JB weld stuff. just snap the houseing off and scrape it flat (smooth but be sure to leave a ruff finnish) and do it again.

i will try to get some pictures and point out every thing tonight.

Just re-looking over this thread and thinking how cool it would be to have DOT approved, integrated blinkers on a GS500F but I'm not up for the amount of hacking done here.

So is there any easier way yet?

Any decent after market mirrors with turn signals built into them etc that are direct bolt on?
