Hello from Ga.  Just wanted to say what a great site!!  I've been visiting the site for quite awhile and figured that I might as well register and post some and get involved with all you wonderful people.  I'm in the middle Georgia area and am interested in hooking up with anyone in the area that may want to get together and ride.

Just a litte background.  I'm 44 y.o.a. and have been riding since I was 8.  Spent the last 22 years in Law Enforcement, 5 of those years as a motor cop.  Bought 2 GS's in 2000 and have used them for the street and track days.  Best riding I've done so far on the GS is on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Love the twisty stuff but always ride the PACE.

Special thanks to Annie for developing the site and all those who provide it with great info. :)

Some pretty ladies in Ga :thumb: .
I lived in Jonesboro (just outside Atlanta)when I was 6-9 years old. I remember they filmed a Smokey and the Bandit scene down the rode from my house. Corney but cool.
Oh and welcome

I am in Atlanta.

Road Atlanta has track days, but they are expensive and the track is not really suited for the GS. Better is Jennings or Little Tally.

Welcome to the site! Glad you're enjoying the GS!

John and Anne have done a great job here! Make sure to check out the links and info available from the home page here and of course, I would be remiss to not mention my site...but you've probably already heard that if you've been hanging out here for any length of time!

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

yamahonkawazuki, I like to snap the dragons tail about once a year just to keep up to date on all the new plastic that hangs on the tree outside the hotel.  I usually make it there in the summer to early fall.  Always try to pick a weekday when the tourist aren't hanging their heads out the window and barfing

They do have track days at AR but as was said it's pricey.  I'm going up this weekend to watch one of my buds race on his SV650.  Shoud be a firecracker 4th for sure if the rain stays away.

James, if you ever get out on the weekend and feel like riding Pine Mountain let me know.  I always enjoy the twisties through the park.

Good to have you JJ. I wish I lived closer to all of you. I only live near Rashad, but he pulls his bike on a trailor.  :nana:

Anyway, greetings and salutations!

I'm from Macon, but I"m in school in Statesboro right now.  My dad and uncle are still in Macon.  They both ride, but not as much as they would like.  If you are looking for a fun short ride check highway 18 near Forsyth.  I can try to get you in contact with my family if you're interested in riding with them.  E-mail me at turner_oppy@yahoo.com if you're interested.

Hey JJ, do you guys use HD or Kaw or what?? Best bike I ever had was an ex-cop HD bought at auction. Worse thing I ever did was sell it. Welcome to the fold and thanx for the job you do...in my opinion they don't pay you enough whatever it is
