I know this topic has been thrashed beyond recognition... and I think I've read damn near every one but havn't found a difinitive answer.  Will an exhaust (vance n Hines full system) for a -E fit an -F without problems on the fairing?  So I guess my question is has the exhaust changed form 2002 to 2003 + and/or does anyone have the VnH on their 2004 or 2005?  I'm looking for a yes or no before I dish out the cash.

Please don't flame me... the posts I've read is more than I read in highschool and college slapped together.

I've seen pictures of the V&H pipes on an F. It will clear.

I didn't think they would, to be honest, until I saw the pictures. I had an issue with the Yoshimura pipes on my bike and figured that the V&H would be the same way since they are both of the same design.

basically nothing has changed on the gs reguarding the exhaust system since time began, the only issues are the fairing and the oil cooler, since the 2002 had both fairings and oil cooler then you are sweet putting it on a 2003, although you may have to trim your fairings

The '02 model didn't have fairings and didn't have an oil cooler. That changed in '04. The V&H was made to fit on a GS that didn't have an oil cooler or fairings, but it just so happens that it does fit on the '04.

I've heard talk about the 04-05 fairing getting in the way at the bottom... if you've got any links of the VnH on an 04-05-06 even, I'd really appreciate links to them and possibly any members names who've done it so I could possibly message them.  I debated just getting it and cutting the fairing if needed but I don't feel that comfortable hacking my just bought bike to shaZam!...
