taillight mod???

i want to do a few cheap mods to my bike and one of them is the rear light.  i saw something somewhere that showed how to put in a rear led light but i can't remember the link, if anyone knows it can you tell me or if you know how to do it, can you help me out a bit?  also is it reltively a cheap mod to do?? :?

ps. i have had my gs for about two weeks and have put about 600 miles on it, is that a lot???

i have had my gs for about two months and got nearly 1600miles on it so it ok to do loads of miles it just means your loving it  :cheers:   :thumb:

JeffD, a member here is making LED replacement boards for the taillight housing. I have one (check my site for a pictorial and how-to). JeffD is selling them for $40.

I've had my GS for just less than 5 months and done a little over 4000 miles :)

As for the tail-light. I don't think it will suit the bike unless you have done more mods to it first. It's just not the sort of thing you see on a run of the mill commuter bike

ahh, this is very true grasshopper, j/k, but i have to start somewhere
and this seems like one that i could do by myself in a little bit of time
in the market for a full fairing

try fenderectomy and shorter/flush turn signals first...just a suggestion.

also consider ponying up $60 for progressive springs...way better than any cosmetic mod.
