I braid my hair or tuck it in my jacket.    If I don't, then I'll be trying to get the knots out for a week.

being one of the few longhairs left  i use about 8 hair ties or it gets so tangled you cant run a brush through it.
oh and my hair is all the way to my waist -haven't had a haircut(not even a trim since 1989

Wife has long hair she uses scoungee's  (spelling?  ) and this thing that looks like a tube made out of material and one end she wears like a durag or bandana and her hair goes throgh the tube.  He hair never gets tangles anymore.

my hair is also down to my waist.  Usually a pony-tail with a scrunchy on top and 3 or 4 are "ouchless" hair ties.  But I have tucked it in my jacket on a couple of occasions.
