upgrade to gsxr.....if you really want anything signifigant and reliable that would be the way to go.

vwwebb

What steps should you take???? Answer: Great big ones, all the way down to your nearest Suzuki dealer where you need to buy a Gsxr.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

I think what's going on here is that most of us already know the GS's potential.  Sadly, from a strictly cost-effective standpoint, they arrive from the factory nearly tapped out.  With unlimited funds, at best you might pump up the horsepower of your GS by a few dozen percent without a design that will live for a single track day before obliterating itself.  After that, you will spend more on upgrades (or engine replacements) than  you would trading a ragged out GS on a new GSXR.  get it?

If you were doing this for the pure reason that your f'in loaded and you have a busa' or zxr1400 and an abundance of engined vehicles and you bought a puny gs500 because you were bored one day and thought you might as well see if you could make the world's fastest gs for a laugh then say.  Because if thats the case then there is plenty of people who will want to be part of making the worlds fastest gs on an unlimited budget just because they can. But if however you have a limited bank account even if it a big one (at least into the thousands of dollers) and you have no other forms of transport which you use more regularly. And you care about how long this bike will last then i think the universal advice is this is an absolute waste of time and money. If you want a bike which will go fast just buy a gsxr it will last 100 times longer than any modification you do on a gs to make it perform better. If this is your form of transport there is no way to make it fast and make it last longer than a couple o weeks. Its just not worth it unless this is a hobby to create a world record

Old Mr. Wilson

Are you racing for money? Are you racing on the track for funsies OR............are you wanting to "race" on "the street"? Tisk tisk tisk................bad bad.........hmmmm........let me give you a tip.
Go down to your nearest Radio Shack and buy you an auto antenna and mount it on your side panel (either side your choice). Then order you a raccoon tail to tie up high on the end. You will have more women than you can shake a stick at!!!!!! When you even just "pass by" their hips will start bucking and gyrating wildly at the sight and thrill of being on such a machine. They will just "lie down and spread". Your scrotum will stay constantly drained. You'll have to take daily injections of B-12 just to stay in some semblance of health. When you are near, women will have to wear a panty liner 365 days a year because they are so hot and dripping with love juice JUST FOR YOU!! ONLY YOU!!! ALL of this modification can be had for less than 35 dollars (USD). So head down to your nearest Radio Shack and tell'em Good Old Mr. Wilson sent ya. You'll be glad you did!

Taxes are Good. Millions that have been on Welfare for the last 30 years are depending on you. Also Millions that are coming over the border each year are depending on YOU.
Also taxes will fix our shitty schools and roads that have been broken for 40+ years.

You really don't get it do you???

that could be the funniest thing ive heard all weak(radio shack comment), thanks for the info and the laugh.

Actually you don't need to jump to a gixxer.
Pick any sport bike over 50 HP and you have cheaper performance than boosting a GS.

OMW, you're on fire.  Glad you're back on shore.
