Niceguy, Boss500, dad and I went on a little ride in the mountains Saturday.  Had a good time.

Went up the moutain stoped at the top took a little look around.  Rode down the mountain, and Boss500 didn't see our turn so after we caught up to him we had to back track, so we had to ride partway back up the moutain .  Hit 180 thats a crazy road it was my first time on that one, did see a bicyclist doing about 55 to 60 mph heading down.  And a neat little 50cc silver scooter had to do a bouble take on that one. :thumb:

Stop at a little town called Helen Ga, it's a tourist town designed to look like a German town,  ate some lunch well a late lunch or an early dinner.  Then we rode home.

No wrecks, crashes to boo boo's to speak of.  Altho there was a very close call

I was gonna start a thread on this, been too busy since I got back. Last night was the first night I slept in my own bed since Friday.

Anyway, props to Dave (blue05twin), Dave Sr. (Dave's dad, duh), and Jon (Boss500), that was an AMAZING ride. I've never ridden anything like that. Florida is nothing but flat, straight roads. The mountains were amazing. The little silver scooter startled me.. I didn't believe I'd seen it until Dave brought it up at lunch.

Dave, I can't thank you enough for letting me ride the GS for our ride. (He offered to let me ride his wife's gixxer6  :cookoo: ) And then he let me take the GS home with me! It's out behind my fraternity house, parked on the basketball court, far, far away from the stupid cagers (I can say that.. they're my brothers )

Man, watching those cyclists rip around the curves was crazy. They were just wearing their little spandex bike suits and bike helmets. If they went down.. man, I can't even imagine the road rash they'd have.

Dave, thanks again for everything, it was great to finally meet you, and the ride was amazing. We need to make that a regular thing! Next time bring the wife!

I'll leave you all with the one picture I took while we were up there:

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Figured it out it was 231 miles total from my house and back.

Hey where's that pic of you that I took?  I guess I didn't press the right button? :dunno_white:

And anytime you want to head over to Ellijay to get your rear rim let me know, we can use the wife's Pac., and I have plenty of time to kill still

Did buy season 1 of Smallville, on disk 3  will watch that tonight if I don't go for a little night riding.

Don't worry about the 500 keep it as long as you need it, no rush and no worries.

Dunno, the pic just wasn't on the camera, guess it didn't like me.. oh well, pictures of me always come out horrible anyway.

I'm not sure how this weekend's gonna go yet, but we'll head out to ellijay sometime and get that rim.

I can't believe you're on disc 3 already.. I thought I was bored!

yeah he'll be like that for atleast the rest of this month. He tends to spend money on random things when he get's bored. so no wife = boredom and boredom = spending money.  :icon_lol: it's ok he'll be back to his old self when my aunt(his wife) comes back right dave  :icon_mrgreen:

  Tonight I have to buy season 2 almost done with season 1 only have 1.5 disk left to watch plus I need to get X-men 3.  I did get Hero's of Legend 2 for my psp.  I think I'm going to order  those frame sliders today, with the rear spools and bar ends.  Maybe some more rim tape too.

I do need to stop by a few motorcycle places and see about getting a new jacket.  Think I'll head over to Marietta this weekend  :icon_mrgreen:

Whoa.. those are some crazy sliders!

xmen 3 was pretty damn good, if you didn't go in expecting anything. A lot of people I know didn't like it. I liked it cuz it kept me entertained for a few hours.. that's all I wanted.

As for the rim, well, this weekend is packed, saturday is a football game (I may skip it and go riding instead though), and sunday is white water rafting with the fraternity, so I'll be gone all day. Sometime soon though.
