I got a new set of sonic springs installed!!! Talked with Rich @ sonic, he seems like a good guy, got my spring type figured out, the .9 and 4 days later the gs is better than ever. It took maybe 20mins to install, I did not touch the oil. The bike has 6300 miles so its in good shape. Rich did recommend 15w, but I just left it to see what it would do...doesn't rebound too fast at all!
Next install new bikeman drag bars, black, with a 3.5" sweep. Also new gel grips.
Its a new bike, bars are slightly smaller, like an inch,so that kinda slows the steering.
The springs do a great job! With the new position I'm more over the front and a little lower. The springs make all this work. Corners WAY better! There's this corner I go through a block from my house, 2nd gear, hard corner than jam it up to about 55 than hard on the breaks to a stop sign. With the old springs I really had to stay on top of it and just before the stop it would bottom and buck, no more. Its a new bike! If you have the old springs, replace em, you won't regret it!
If it comes out of your body you shouldn't be afraid to hold it in your hand! :o
